RACE QUESTIONS:

If I do not have a military ID, how can I get onto JBLM?

A. You can receive a Special Event Pass for all of our races. Simply register by the Access Pass cut-off date noted on the race website. On race morning, proceed to the Visitor’s Center Parking Lot off of Exit 120, I-5. A representative will be on site to issue you your pass prior to proceeding to the gate.

Will I receive a T-shirt?

A. All pre-registered participants are guaranteed a T-shirt. Note we cannot guarantee correct size if you register after the first cut-off date. Same day registrants are not guaranteed a T-shirt, and will be issued on a first come/first serve basis.

What races are “timed” events and which are “fun runs”?

A. We will time the Half Marathon, Salmon Run and Triathlon. Age group awards will be presented accordingly. The Saint Patrick’s Run, Mud Run, Turkey Trot and Polar Skip and Dip are considered “fun runs”. Every participant will receive a special gift for participating. A timing clock will be at the finish line so that participants can see their finish time.

GENERAL QUESTIONS:

What is an Access Pass?

An Access Pass is provided for those individuals from the civilian community who do not have any Department of Defense affiliation and therefore, don’t already have authorized access to Joint Base Lewis McChord.

In order to receive an ACCESS PASS you must confirm your need during the registration process. One of the required questions during registration will be in reference to the need for a pass. If you have problems with this during registration please email or phone 253 967-4768 for assistance.

REGISTRATION:

When will registration open for the "xyz" event?

Registration is generally made available a minimum of 60 days prior to the event date. Some events may be posted and available sooner. Please check the JBLMmwr.com/raceswebsite or our facebook page https://www.facebook.com/JBLMRaces for each individual race you are interested in. Can I register as a part of a group?

Some events have team or relay team categories. Check the individual race information page for participation categories and award divisions.

How can I verify that I am officially registered?

Once your registration and payment transaction is complete, you will have the opportunity to print and save your receipt. We recommend that you both save it and print it out and bring with you on race day. You should also get a confirmation email. If you cannot print or save your receipt and you do not receive a confirmation email, please email or call us at

PARTICIPANTS:

Can walkers participate in the events?

Walkers are welcome on all of our 5K courses. Walkers are discouraged from participating in the 10K, 12K and Half marathon distances for safety reasons.

Can I bring my dog?

We cannot allow runners to participate with their dogs. They are considered a safety concern and can be a health issue for some participants.

Can I participate with a stroller or baby jogger?

Absolutely. We welcome those participating as a family. All we ask is that you start the event in the far back of the pack and yield to runners on the course.

How can I volunteer?

We welcome your participation as a volunteer! The event will need volunteers to staff the aid stations, work the registration, refreshments and offer support to the runners at the start and finish.
