Military and Family Life Counselors

Military and Family Life Counselors (MFLCs) are licensed professionals who provide situational, problem-solving consultations anonymously and confidentially. No written records are kept, and it is free to military and family members. They also work hand-in-hand with existing services to provide consulting, education and training support on topics such as: Combat stress and coping strategies; emotional cycle of deployment and reintegration; communication; relationship issues and re-establishing intimacy; anger management/conflict resolution; parenting skills; children's reaction to deployment and reunion.

MFLCs are located throughout Joint Base Lewis-McChord.  Lewis Main locations include AFCS Waller Hall (2140 Liggett Ave.), 2013 N. 3rd St. (AFCS Headquarters) and the AFCS Annex (2166 Liggett Ave.); Lewis North location is Hawk Education Center (Building 11577) and the McChord Field location is AFCS McChord (552 Barnes Blvd.).  Call 253-329-6632 for information.
